It can be totally overwhelming to figure which foods are healthy and which foods aren't. I get it. One person will say "avoid saturated fat" while another will tell you to "load up on saturated fat" - One says "carbs are evil" and another says "carbs are great." You hear "paleo is the way," "veganism is the way," "keto is the way," and so on and so forth. So how do you know which person is right? Well, the simple truth is none of them are right. We are all different. We're bioindividuals, we lead different lifestyles, have different personalities, genetics, and so on.
So what does this mean? There's no one-size-fits-all diet.
With nutritional therapy, we will work together to come up with a personalized nutrition plan that works for YOU!
Nutritional Therapy is great for:
I have had cramps since I was 16 years old. I went on birth control at a young age because of it. Even at the age of 33 they have woken me up in the middle of the night every month, disrupting my sleep and making the next day very challenging. When I read one of Jillian's blogs about using magnesium 15 days before my period, I was willing to try anything! So I tried. It was seriously a miracle, the first day I got my period and I didn't have any cramps in the middle of the night. Even better, my entire period I had NO cramps!! Seriously I never thought this was possible. I am so thankful for Jillian's amazing tips and knowledge. They work, and if you are a woman who needs support when it comes to their period and PMS, you MUST follow her!

I just want to thank Jillian for all of her help with me hitting my weight and body fat goals. Jill reviewed my my entire eating habits and quickly found some major problems. She took the time to explain to me why the way I was eating was a problem and just was great. After asking me about what foods I like (which isn't much) she made me a full meal plan. Within a month I was almost at my goals and I'm happy to say after 2 months I hit all of my goals. It's been 3 months now and I still have been using my meal plan and see it as a lifestyle change now. Thanks Jill for all of the knowledge and support!

You don't have to live in misery. I spent over 10 years of my life suffering with terrible IBS - I'm talking like running to the bathroom at least 5-6 times a day (and I mean running!) which came along with tons of anxiety. As a recovered fast food addict, cigarette smoker, and binge drinker - I'm telling you that it's possible to rid yourself of debilitating IBS with nutrition & lifestyle changes. Imagine a life that doesn't revolve around the bathroom - what freedom!
PMS is something I thought was inevitable - something that all women had to deal with. Well, turns out that's not true. In fact, experiencing PMS symptoms - such as irritability, mood swings, cravings, acne, bloating, fatigue, migraines, etc - is actually a sign that your body is experiencing dysfunction and your hormones need support. Think of how great it would be not to deal with PMS month after month, year after year.
Brain fog, migraines, and cramps are all effected by what we eat. Discover what foods may be causing you pain and which foods help you to minimize pain.

You can fill out an application for a FREE consultation here & we'll see if we're a good fit to work together!
You'll start by keeping a food journal of what you're eating now & how you're feeling. Based on your goals & health status, I will give you recommendations for changes to make. It is my belief that most of us do better with small changes over time, rather than changing everything at once. For most clients, I'll take baby steps to create lasting behavior change, instead of becoming overwhelmed and giving up. I'm not perfect & I don't expect you to be either.
The Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire is an online questionnaire that asks a series of questions to assess what areas of your body are experiencing dysfunction. This tells me where you are struggling & how I can best support you. Along with diet changes, supplements can be very effective at restoring proper function to your body. Based on your results, I will provide nutrition, lifestyle, & supplement recommendations. *Note: I understand that some people are opposed to taking supplements. In this case, I am perfectly happy to assist you with food & lifestyle changes only.
The Symptom Burden Graph shows you your Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) results in a graph form, showing which areas of your body are experiencing dysfunction & need support. This is also used as a tool to track your progress with Nutritional Therapy.
As your NTC, it's my job to educate you on how to best support your body with food. In addition to your sessions with me, I will assign you either reading material or a documentary to watch (depending on your preference) that will help you to get a better understanding as to why nutrition matters so much for good health.
I will also provide you with educational handouts, healthy recipes, & lifestyle tips such as exercise, stress-reducing activities, communication tips, etc so you can become the master of your health!
Figuring out your own personalized diet takes some trial & error, as well as time to implement each new change one at a time. In order to achieve the best possible results, it's important to have follow-up appointments to discuss any struggles, challenges, progress, and anything else that may be effecting your health. I take a holistic approach to nutrition, which means taking a look at the whole person and what's going on in their life that may be connected with any dysfunction going on in their body. We're all bioindividuals and sometimes we need to change things up to listen to our own unique body.
If you have questions between appointments, you'll have email access to me to get them answered. I'm here to make your transition/health journey as smooth & easy as possible, while helping you achieve the best results possible!
Look, maybe you know what you "should be eating" but you're just having a hard time getting yourself to actually do it. I get it. I work with my own nutritionist on and off because I just need accountability and someone to answer to. If I'm left to my own, I may not always make the best choices even though I'm an NTC and "know what to eat." Having that second set of eyes and a person to "answer to" is a huge help! I'll be your accountability coach, guide, therapist, investigator, and friend. You don't have to go at this alone - I'm here for you!
Jill has been working with me on my digestion issues for a few months. Jill has provided me with a roadmap and links full of info to help me on my way. I've implemented the protocol she has suggested and see good results with the hopes that, over time, to keep practicing the protocol and gain full health with my digestion. All that Jill has provided has been very beneficial. She is very pleasant to work with!
