This recipe is very simple and easy to make. It’s a nice, spicy side dish to go along with a dish of your choice. The carrots can take about 45 minutes to roast in the oven, so it’s not super fast, but not too long either (plus, it’s mostly downtime in the oven, so you can cook the rest of the meal while the carrots are roasting). If you’re a fan of spicy food, these are definitely delicious. These are not overly spicy where they burn your tongue; they are just the right amount of spice.

 

Ingredients:

1 lb carrots
1 tbsp red palm oil
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp red pepper flakes
½ tsp turmeric
pinch of cayenne pepper
salt & pepper to taste

Procedure:

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees
Peel and cut carrots lengthwise
Place in a bowl, with all ingredients, and mix everything together with your hands
Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
Bake for 30-45 minutes depending on thickness.
